We have new information about the upcoming gaming smartphone POCO F4 GT, which the company has already revealed an official launch date for.
The presentation will be at the end of April
This date was revealed by the company itself. So we have confirmation that the POCO F4 GT will be launched globally on April 26 at 14:00 our time.
It seems this will be the only new thing the POCO company has in store for us for now. The POCO F4 and F4 Pro models will presumably debut at a completely different time, which is also coming up soon.
The smartphone will be made for mobile gamers who need top performance, great battery life on a single charge, and special gaming buttons.
A new smartphone? Not likely
But if you were looking forward to a completely new model, you’ll probably be disappointed. It’s going to be a rebranded smartphone Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, which we already got to know back in March this year.
On the side, the smartphone has magnetic gaming buttons along with their lock/unlock switches. That means you can unlock them whenever it suits you and they won’t be pressed in your pocket unnecessarily and wear out.
That’s the kind of setup you can expect
The front will be dominated by a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. There won’t be any compromises in performance either, and POCO will go with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It will be paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
On the back, you’ll find a module with three cameras. The main one is a 64-megapixel sensor Sony IMX686, complemented by an ultra-wide sensor and a macro sensor. The smartphone will get a 20 MPx front camera, integrated under the display cutout.
You’ll like the stereo speakers from JBL, NFC, Android 12 together with MIUI 13, and also a 4600 mAh battery with 120W charging that can charge the battery in just 17 minutes.
As for the price, the gaming smartphone from Redmi started at around 450 euros. That’s why we expect the price of the POCO F4 GT to be a bit higher, which comes with shipping costs, customs duty, and other expenses. The final price could therefore be somewhere around from €499 to €549.
