FIMI is a brand that belongs to Xiaomi’s ecosystem. It’s best known for its top-tier drones, but in this brand’s lineup you can also find gimbal cameras. Even the very first generation called FIMI PALM 4K impressed with excellent specs for an affordable price.
Now let’s take a closer look at the second generation of this brand’s gimbal camera. The manufacturer used an upgraded Sony 1/2 CMOS sensor that delivers better low-light photos. Of course, there’s also 3-axis image stabilization, plus the ability to edit your footage directly on your phone.

Review and comparison with DJI Pocket 2:
Compact size and great image quality
FIMI Palm 2 Pro is an exceptionally compact and practical device. Its dimensions are 32.5 x 35.5 x 132 mm. Weight comes in at 150 grams. That means you can easily take it with you on any trip and it won’t take up too much space in your bag.
The manufacturer used an upgraded Sony 1/2 CMOS sensor with a pixel size of 1.6 um and an F 2.2 aperture. This sensor is based on QuadBayer technology, which means it combines four pixels into one. The result should be reduced noise during night shots and up to 4x higher dynamic range than traditional CMOS sensors.
FIMI Palm 2 Pro is equipped with a 128-degree lens without distortion. The wide-angle lens ensures that corner shots remain detailed to the greatest extent possible. A new independent 32-bit RISC audio processor provides excellent high-frequency sound recording, effectively eliminates echo and suppresses surrounding noise.
The device can record videos in these resolutions:
- 4K: 3840 x 2160 30/25/24 FPS
- 2.7K: 2716 x 1524 60/50/30/25/24 FPS
- 1080P: 1920 x 1080 60/50/30/25/24 FPS
Great battery life and 3-axis image stabilization
Inside there’s a built-in battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh. With a fully charged battery, you can expect around 160 minutes of recording time. Naturally, there’s also 3-axis image stabilization, keeping the image as sharp as possible and preventing shaking.
