FIMI TX10 is a redesigned controller made for FIMI X8 SE 2022 drones and also FIMI X8 SE 2022 V2. Its key features include the RokLink transmission technology with a range of up to 10 km, a 5.5-inch FullHD display with brightness up to 1000 nits, and 4G LTE connectivity along with WiFi and GPS.
The controller even has its own computing hardware, with performance handled by a Qualcomm chipset. The entire controller runs on Android. The package also includes an HDMI output, a USB C port, a microSD card slot, and a microphone with a speaker. Power is provided by a built-in 4800 mAh battery with a runtime of 4 hours.

The design stays unchanged
As for the look, the FIMI X8SE 2022 doesn’t differ much from its predecessors. Folded dimensions are 204 x 106 x 72.6 mm and it weighs 765 grams (including the battery and propellers).
The FIMI X8SE 2022 is compatible with 3 of the most popular satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS and BEIDUO). Xiaomi states that the new X8SE 2022 can be used in light rain and light snow.

FIMI X8 SE 2022 and its new upgraded 48MPx sensor
An upgraded 48 MPx CMOS sensor from Sony with a 1/2″ size, which brings larger pixels of 1.6 µm based on the “Quad Bayer” pixel filter, delivering great performance not only in daylight but also in poorer lighting conditions. Sony’s exposure control with signal processing technology ensures a 4x higher dynamic range than traditional CMOS sensors.
With HDR support, the camera ensures your footage looks really good while preserving the original details, light, and color tones of your scene or subject. Another major improvement of the new sensor is the large f/1.6 aperture, allowing the sensor to let in even more light. For comparison, the previous model FIMI X8 SE 2020 has an aperture up to f/2.0.
Its 3-axis mechanical gimbal uses the LOS 3rd generation stabilization algorithm with highly precise control and an accuracy of 0.005 ° to perfectly eliminate shaking in real time. Naturally, there are different video modes designed for different shots. These modes include:
- Smart Tracking Mode – an intelligent mode for tracking a moving object
- Flight planning – you can set several points on the map, and the drone will fly accordingly
- Circular flights – the drone can circle around a single object

Compared to the previous generation, it’s an improvement of 20%. The upgraded third-generation RokLink digital transmission system with high resolution and adaptive stream encoding technology delivers an excellent transmission distance up to 10 km with lower latency.
Together with the X8 SE 2022, FIMI introduces a new smart controller called FIMI TX10 with a built-in screen. This controller is sold as an optional accessory and is not included in the standard package.
The 2022 edition, just like its predecessor, is also powered by a 4500 mAh/51.3 Wh battery, providing battery life up to 35 minutes at a speed of 8 m/s (29 km/h). The drone’s maximum speed in sport mode is 18 m/s, i.e. almost 65 km/h.
The drone is now resistant to rain and snow, and wind up to level 8 on the Beaufort wind scale shouldn’t be a problem either. Wind at this level is classified as a squall and reaches speeds of 34–40 knots, which is equivalent to 17.5 to 20.5 m/s.
FIMI X8 SE 2022 also includes an integrated RemoteID service, ensuring safe and legal flights worldwide. This service references flight requirements from the FAA and EASA—authorities responsible for airspace monitoring. The drone automatically sends its location data, serial number, and activity.
