At the end of May 2020, POCO’s parent brand introduced to the world the now-popular flagship killer POCO F2 Pro. It achieved truly unprecedented success, which you can check out in our detailed review.
Not long ago, hot news about a new, slightly toned-down sibling started appearing online—it should be called POCO F2. Although this is a so-called “lite” version, the specs are truly packed.
POCO F2 looks really good
The XIAOMIUI portal posted on its Twitter profile a piece of information that partially reveals the feature set of the expected smartphone. The code names are “Vayu” and “Bhima”, which may mean different names for different markets.
Under the hood, the device will feature a yet-unannounced processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, which should deliver performance higher than the 855 predecessor, but also lower than the 865 chipset. Either way, there’s definitely no shortage of sufficient performance.
A fast display and a big battery
We also learned about the implementation of an AMOLED display panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). It looks like the display capabilities won’t lag behind the 2021 standard at all.

As for the cameras, we don’t know much yet. The main sensor without optical stabilization should—according to available info—have a resolution of 48 MPx, while a wide-angle lens, a macro sensor, and a background blur sensor should come in alongside it.
Finally, there’s also info about the battery capacity. 5160 mAh is above-average, and together with the power-efficient processor it should make a great combination. Support for contactless payments thanks to the NFC chip is also definitely there.
That’s everything for now from the available specifications. We’ll continue monitoring the situation and publishing all updates on our website. If you don’t want to miss anything important, join our new Facebook group and subscribe to article updates directly in your email inbox.
