The unveiling of the next generation of the MIUI 12 overlay is steadily approaching. We already wrote about its exact date, and it will happen on April 27.
Fortunately for us, a few days before the presentation, we’re getting more information—this time about the Always On Display mode.
Always On Display
Yesterday we brought you more information about the eagerly awaited MIUI 12 overlay. Among them was also info about the new Dark Mode 2.0 that will debut. Today, however, we’ll take a look at the Always On Display mode.
Through the Chinese social network Weibo, the company shows us new animations and a customizable background. The already mentioned Always On Display mode, which arrived in MIUI 11, will have that.
It looks like Xiaomi has put a lot of new images and animations into this mode. Among them, you can also find a large selection of animations of the Xiaomi MITU mascot. Overall, the new MIUI could include up to more than 1000.
Thought through to the detail
As you can see below, the Always On Display mode animations will be non-linear. This will result in a smoother and more striking look.
In the Always On Display mode configuration, the MIUI 12 overlay will offer several settings that allow you to choose which elements you want to show.
So all that’s left for us is to wait until April 27 for the official unveiling and look forward to what the new MIUI 12 overlay will offer.
