The design continues in the footsteps of the predecessor
Visually, the new gaming laptop is very similar to the previous generation, which is no downside. Sharp lines clearly define the gaming segment. There’s also a backlit keyboard with a numeric section and rich RGB backlighting.
On the front you’ll find a 16,1-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Also, quite thin bezels will impress. Two variants will be available.
The first model is powered by an Intel processor, specifically the Core i5-11260H model. It works with 16 GB RAM and a 512‑gigabyte SSD drive.
The AMD version, powered by Ryzen 7 5800, has exactly the same 16 GB RAM and a 512-gigabyte SSD drive. The choice is yours. Both models have the same graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. With it, you’ll run even the latest games at maximum details. The operating system is Windows 10, but an upgrade to a newer version 11 is expected.
Hurricane Heat Dissipation 3.0
To prevent unnecessary overheating and the associated performance drop, Redmi equipped its new model with a system called Hurricane Heat Dissipation 3.0.
It offers two fans and four heat exhaust ports. In the AMD version, this system also includes copper heat pipes for even better cooling efficiency.
We’ll also find differences in the included adapter. The Intel version is powered by an adapter with 180 W, while the AMD version has a 230-watt adapter. The latest technologies are included too, such as Wi‑Fi 6, the smart Xiao AI assistant, USB‑C, and Thundelbolt 4.
