In July, we learned about the Pro version of the popular Xiaomi Smart Band 7 smart band, but only for the home Chinese market. Since then, however, we also found out that it will come to the global version as well and now we have even uncovered a possible price for the European market.
Possible price and launch date
The leaked information comes from a Spanish Amazon page, where the price and a possible sales date were posted. According to this information, the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro will be available starting from September 30.
However, you can currently place a reservation so that it arrives to customers by October 6, i.e. 3 months later than the base Xiaomi Smart Band 7. These details currently apply to Spain, but we assume the situation across all of Europe will be the same.
Now let’s move on to the less pleasant part, which is the device’s price itself. The standard Xiaomi Smart Band 7 is priced at around €50, and in this case the official price should be at the level of €100.
That’s a dramatic price increase, because in China the band is sold for 379 yuan, which is roughly 54 euros. On the other hand, we understand that shipping costs, customs duty, VAT, and other fees will be added to that.
But 100 euros doesn’t have to be the final amount—something we’re hoping for as well. In the next few days, we should also get an official statement directly from Xiaomi, along with official prices for the global market.
The specs look very promising
The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro has a 1.64-inch AMOLED display up front with a resolution of 280 x 465 pixels and a total weight of just 20.5 grams. The battery should last 6 days of intensive use.
However, it also includes NFC for payments via Xiaomi Pay and a GPS module, which is missing on the base model. Up to 117 sports activities can be tracked, along with heart rate, blood oxygenation, stress, and sleep monitoring.
How do you feel about this leaked European price? Do you think it’s already too high, or would you be willing to pay that much for this product without any issues?
