Many smartphone manufacturers have their own file transfer solutions, but Quick Share provides the universal one. This technology allows file transfers in both directions. Just tap the option to share a photo on your Xiaomi phone and you’ll see the “Quick Share” option.

You should see it by default without needing to install an extra app from the Play Store. You’ll then see nearby devices you can send media to this way.

You need to install the program on your computer via the special section on the official Android.com website. Click here and install the software on your computer; for now, only the Windows operating system is supported.

Sign in to your Google account and set your computer’s visibility for other nearby devices. On both devices, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be turned on, or alternatively a wired internet connection to the same local network.

The next step is easy – on your phone, identify your computer by its name. Now you can quickly and easily send files in both directions. And it’s not just photos. You can also send PDF documents, large videos, and other files. It’s a fast and reliable solution you’ll love.
