JONR P20 Pro vs Deebot T30e Omni is a showdown you’re asking about more and more in the group. JONR is a robot from the Xiaomi ecosystem, it runs in the Xiaomi Home app, and for two years it’s been one of the best-selling products in our coupon articles. In our comparison, it came out better than Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+, which doesn’t recognize carpets and doesn’t have a retractable mop. Now it has a new rival from Ecovacs.
Deebot T30e Omni is a new model with 25 000 Pa, an anti-tangle hair brush, and a 3D obstacle sensor. From a German warehouse, you can buy it for less than JONR costs with a direct order to Slovakia. We tested the JONR P20 Pro at home for two months, and you’ll find the results in our review.

Design and station
JONR is white, and its station has the tanks hidden behind the front cover. Deebot is black, and it has two 4-liter tanks on top of the station. Ecovacs states that the tank only needs to be lifted by 5 cm, so you can place the station even under a shelf. Both robots have a tower on top with LiDAR and measure about 10 cm, so neither will reach under a low sofa.

Ecovacs Deebot T30e Omni
The stations do almost the same: they vacuum dust into a 3-liter bag, wash the mops, and dry them. Neither uses hot water, and neither automatically dispenses cleaning solution. With the bag, Deebot promises 90 days without intervention; JONR 60 days. The stations are almost tied—Deebot leads by just a little.

Suction and hair on the brush
On paper, it’s clear: Deebot has 25 000 Pa, while JONR has 8 000 Pa. On a smooth floor, you’ll hardly notice the difference; in our test, JONR handled crumbs and dust reliably already in the Strong mode. You’ll feel the gap on carpets with longer pile and with pet hair that gets trapped in them.

Ecovacs Deebot T30e Omni
Deebot also has a better-resolved brush. The main ZeroTangle 3.0 brush has three V-shaped grooves, and the side brush has only one arm. So hair has nowhere to wind up. According to Ecovacs, no hair gets wound around it at all—even up to 25 cm. JONR also has a main hair-anti-tangle brush, and in our test, hair tangled less than with Xiaomi or Roborock. However, the side brush likes to tangle hair. Deebot wins in both suction and the brush.
Mopping and edges
Here JONR takes the lead. The right mop extends when driving along the wall, and it cleans the strip near the edge that an otherwise round robot would skip. In our test, it was clearly visible, and the walls stayed dry. Deebot T30e Omni doesn’t have an extending mop; it handles edges only with the side brush.
JONR P20 Pro
Ecovacs Deebot T30e Omni
On carpets, Deebot is more reliable. It lifts the mops by 9 mm, and the Carpet First function first dry-vacuums all carpets, and only then mops them. JONR lifts the mops by 8 mm, but in our test it didn’t always do it: sometimes it lifted them, other times it mopped over the carpet. That’s why we recommend putting carpets into a no-mopping zone.
There’s also a difference in the water. JONR doesn’t have a tank in the robot, so it returns to the station to wash the mops every 5, 10, or 15 minutes. With a 10-minute interval, the mop in our apartment was already right at the point of drying out. Deebot carries 70 ml of water, and the station tops it up. Neither can handle dried stains—fresh ones are enough for both.

Navigation and obstacles on the floor
Both have LiDAR and map the apartment quickly; our three-bedroom JONR handled it in 10 minutes. The difference is what they do with things on the floor. JONR doesn’t have a camera or a 3D sensor, so a cable, a shoelace, or a sock won’t go around it—it will pull it under. Then it stops and waits while you pull the item out. The same issue was also noted by the German Notebookcheck, where the robot had trouble with Duplo blocks.
Deebot has a TrueDetect 3D system. An infrared laser projects a pattern onto the floor, and the robot reads the shape and height of objects from it. It shouldn’t swallow a cable or a dog bowl, either. It also doesn’t have an object-recognition camera, but compared to a robot with only LiDAR, it handles things on the floor much better. Thresholds up to 20 mm, according to Ecovacs, can be crossed even with mops. In our test, JONR struggled with low thresholds too—once it crossed them right away, and other times it tried for a whole minute. In navigation, Deebot wins.
Battery and charging
They have the same battery, 5200 mAh. Ecovacs states 180 minutes of vacuuming with mopping and 220 minutes in quiet mode for the Deebot. According to the manufacturer, JONR can do 160 minutes with a mop and 230 minutes with vacuuming alone. We only have real figures for JONR: 54 m² in Strong mode, with Turbo on carpet—finished in 77 minutes—and it used 68% of the battery.
Deebot charges in 4,5 hours; JONR needs 6,5 hours. In a typical apartment, it doesn’t really matter. Both recharge in their dock after running out of battery and continue where they left off. We can’t fairly compare noise levels. Ecovacs lists 64,6 dB; Notebookcheck writes 83 dB for JONR while vacuuming. But each of those numbers was created differently.
App: Xiaomi Home vs ECOVACS HOME
For many readers, this is definitely the deciding factor. JONR runs in Xiaomi Home, so you get it all in one app together with smart bulbs, a purifier, and a camera. The global version works with the Slovak and Czech regions, and the firmware is updated directly through the app. Voice prompts are only in English.
Deebot needs its own app, ECOVACS HOME. The app is well-developed and saves three floor maps. You can control the robot via widgets or Dynamic Island on iPhone as well, and it works with Alexa and Google Assistant. But if you’re building your smart home with Xiaomi, that’s another app on your phone. For a Xiaomi home, JONR wins.

Price and where to buy them
JONR P20 Pro has a warehouse in Poland, and the seller offers a 2-year warranty with service in Poland. When you order to a Slovak address, it costs 201 €. If you buy it via a German address, you can get it for 306 €, but you’ll need to add about €30 for reshipping. We explain the steps in the JONR P20 Pro article.
Buying via Germany: Below in the price box, you’ll find product variants marked like this — to get the price we listed, the order must be placed through AliExpress with a German address(phones from 10 €, vacuums around 30 €, you can calculate the exact price in the calculator). Where’s the catch
For the JONR P20 Pro, it’s an obstacle on the floor. If you have kids, a dog, or cables at the table, you’ll need to collect things before cleaning. Lifting the mops on carpet doesn’t work reliably, and without a German trick, JONR is more expensive in Slovakia than Deebot.
For the Deebot T30e Omni, a retractable mop is missing, so it washes the strip along the edges next to the strips less effectively. It’s a new model; on AliExpress, at the time of our first article, it only had 19 reviews. Two complaints were about the seller and spare parts, not the robot. In a Xiaomi home, you’ll end up with yet another app.
Which one to choose?
Deebot T30e Omni is the pick if you have pets, carpets, or stuff on the floor and you don’t want to gather cables before every cleaning. It has three times the suction, hair doesn’t wrap around its brush, and it navigates around obstacles. When buying for a Slovak address, it’s cheaper. For most households, it’s the better buy today.
JONR P20 Pro is for you if you have Xiaomi devices at home and want everything to work in Xiaomi Home. It’s also a great fit if you mostly have smooth floors and you care about the trimmed edges along skirting boards. If you manage to place the order via Germany, it should come out similar to Deebot. It’s been tested for two years, and we also know its downsides.
