Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is preparing its next generation flagship device under the name Xiaomi 13. And we already know the dimensions and weight of the devices that will end up in this series.
These are new leaks of information about the Xiaomi 13 series
A blogger with the nickname Panda today revealed the body weight of smartphones within the Xiaomi 13 series. And this data will genuinely surprise you. The base model Xiaomi 13 should offer a 6.36″ straight AMOLED display of the Samsung E6 type with a 1080p+ resolution. The glass version of this model has dimensions of 152.8 x 71.5 x 7.98 mm and a weight of 189 grams. The leather version then has dimensions of 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.1 mm and just 185 grams.
If we look at the larger model Xiaomi 13 Pro, it should offer a 6.73″ curved AMOLED screen of the Samsung E6 type with 2K resolution. The ceramic design will offer dimensions of 163 x 74.6 x 8.38 mm and a weight of 229 grams. The leather version in this case will have dimensions of 163 x 74.6 x 8.7 mm and a weight at the level of 210 grams.
The series of these smartphones was originally planned for a Chinese press conference on 1. December 2022, however, this event was postponed due to the death of the former Chinese president. The replacement date for this event is expected after a few weeks.
According to official images from Xiaomi, the difference between the smartphones will mainly be in the flat vs. curved display, as well as in the size of the devices themselves. Xiaomi 13 will offer thin bezels on three sides at just 1.61 mm, and the widest one then at 1.81 mm. The screen-to-front-wall ratio is up to 93.3%. There also won’t be missing a cutout on the display, in the upper part of the screen, in the middle.
Besides that, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun himself said that holding the Xiaomi 13 device is surprisingly comfortable “given its dimensions.” As for the processor, the series will be shipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 4 nm production process.
1″ Sony camera and up to 120 W fast charging
Xiaomi 13 Pro will impress with a 50 MPx main camera Sony IMX989 with a size of up to 1″ and a 75 mm telephoto lens from the Leica brand. The specifications suggest it will also include a 50 MPx sensor Samsung JN1 for ultra-wide shots or macro shots. It will also have a 4820 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast wired charging, 50 W fast wireless charging, and 10 W reverse charging.
The base model Xiaomi 13 will then have a 50 MPx main camera, a 13 MPx ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MPx telephoto lens. The more compact model from the pair will be the one that stands out with a 4500 mAh battery supporting 67 W fast wired charging, 50 W fast wireless charging, and 10 W reverse charging.
Both phones will offer a 32 MPx resolution “selfie” camera. And there won’t be missing the Android 13 operating system together with Xiaomi’s well-known custom UI, in the MIUI 14. version.
