The trio of smartphones from the Xiaomi 12 series was unveiled in late December already, but only for the Chinese market. That’s why we can’t wait for the global release. Did the leaked model prices disappoint us?
We have information that sales of this trio of smartphones will start in March on the Indian market. So far, the Chinese giant hasn’t confirmed when we’ll see these smartphones globally.
The MySmartPrice portal learned from industry sources some details about Europe pricing. It also shared reports on RAM capacity, storage and available color variants.
Global prices are disappointing
The Xiaomi 12 Pro will be available in 8 + 256 GB and 12 + 256 GB configurations, priced between 1,000 and 1,200 euros. That’s quite a high price even considering the competition’s pricing policy.
The base model Xiaomi 12 will be sold in 8 + 128 GB and 8 + 256 GB versions. Prices will range from 800 to 900 euros. All prices are converted from Indian rupees.
And finally, we’re getting to the cheapest model—the Xiaomi 12X smartphone. It will be sold in the same configuration as the base Xiaomi 12, but its price will range from 600 to 700 euros, which is really quite low.
All three smartphones will be sold in blue, gray and purple, so at least in terms of design they should be attractive models.
Year after year, prices keep going up
Of course, the specs are top-notch and won’t differ from the Chinese ones. The design will also remain completely the same, with an AMOLED display, quality cameras and fast charging.
However, Xiaomi is losing out in one area, for example—none of the models in this trio is water-resistant. The competition offers that as a basic advantage for the flagship.
Let’s see how Xiaomi does with sales of this trio. These are great-equipped and good-looking smartphones, but Xiaomi is ramping up prices starting from the Xiaomi Mi 10 model, putting it against increasingly capable competition.
What do you think about the prices of Xiaomi 12 global versions?
