Xiaomi is slowly but surely moving into the top ranks of the world’s smartphone manufacturers. When the Chinese giant entered Western markets a few years ago, it was clear that its pricing strategy and top-notch quality would take it a long way.
Probably the best-known segment in Xiaomi’s portfolio is, indeed, its smartphones. A margin that stays below the 5 % mark is very tempting for any potential owner. This approach has led to the manufacturer’s smartphones being among the TOP 10 smartphones in the world.
Redmi dominates the mid-range
Redmi, the daughter brand that only relatively recently became independent, is bringing devices to the market with the best price-to-performance ratio. While flagship models and premium devices still belong under the parent Xiaomi, Redmi has won over mid-range fans.
It’s the trio of Redmi smartphones that made it into the TOP 10 smartphone list in the third quarter of 2020. The list doesn’t miss models from US Apple or South Korean Samsung. You won’t find other manufacturers in the list.
Apple took the first place with its last year’s iPhone 11. With a fairly large gap, it holds second place for the cheapest Apple smartphone called iPhone SE (2020), which has been popular worldwide not only because of its compact size.
The next three spots go to mid-range smartphones from Samsung: Galaxy A21s, A11 and A51. Places 6 and 7 were taken by the models Redmi Note 9 and the base Redmi 9. The final trio is made up of Galaxy A31, the popular Redmi 9A, and finally Galaxy A01 Core.
As fans of Chinese Xiaomi, we’re of course happy to see the popularity of these devices. In the comments under the article, tell us whether you own a smartphone from this manufacturer and, if so, how satisfied you are with it. We’d love to read your take on Xiaomi smartphones.
