Xiaomi has prepared another treat for us in the form of the new Mi Notebook Pro 15 2020 laptop. In essence, it’s an upgraded version of the well-known premium laptop that Xiaomi first introduced in year 2017.
At the core, the Chinese giant gave us a choice of two configurations, with both featuring the latest Intel processor generations or an Nvidia graphics card.

High performance, beautiful design
From the design side, we can’t really fault the Mi Notebook Pro 15 2020, and in practice it has barely changed compared to the original version. Carefully crafted aluminum body is complemented by discreet reinforced parts made of metal, which ultimately gives the device even more elegance and style.
Mi Notebook Pro 15 2020 is also well made from the inside. Ergonomically shaped keys with a length of 19,5 mm and a travel of 1,5 mm will be ideal companions for your everyday use. As you can see, the numeric keypad didn’t find a place here.
A 127 x 83.6 mm touchpad tucked in the top-right corner hides a fast fingerprint sensor, with which you can unlock the laptop in seconds.
The latest of the latest
In terms of performance, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 2020 comes in two configurations. Both feature a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce MX350 with dedicated memory GDDR5 2 GB. The differences are in the next specs.
The weaker version includes a powerful quad-core processor Intel Core i5-10210U 10th gen with a maximum boost clock of 4,20 GHz, supported by 8 GB DDR4 RAM running at 2666 MHz and a 512 GB PCIe SSD drive.
The more powerful model is powered by the Intel Core i7-10510U 10th gen processor, which offers a maximum clock of up to 4,9 GHz. The DDR4 RAM is 16 GB and runs at 2666 MHz. Plenty of space is taken care of by a 1 TB PCIe x 4 NVMe SSD drive.
The display on the new model measures the standard 15,6″ and offers Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). The sharpness is 142 pixels per inch and the color gamut is sRGB 100 %. So the display is suitable even for graphic designers and photographers who need realistic colors for their work.
They took care of quality audio with two 2.5 W Harman speakers, which with Dolby Audio Premium support deliver great surround sound. The front camera is also there.
The connectors on the Mi Notebook Pro 15 2020 include 2x USB A 3.1, 2x USB-Type C, HDMI, a card reader, and a 3.5 mm jack. The equipment is therefore more than rich.
The laptop battery is a solid 60 Wh, which means the laptop can last 17 hours of video playback or 12 hours of internet browsing. There’s fast charging 1C that charges the battery by 50% in 40 minutes. The operating system is Windows 10.
The updated model of the well-known 15.6-inch Xiaomi laptop again shows that the Chinese manufacturer doesn’t lag behind even in the category Laptops and PCs and is trying to keep up with the competition. True Xiaomi fans will definitely enjoy it.
