- In China, it costs 549 yuan; Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the global price yet.
Most electric toothbrushes tell you at most that you brushed your teeth for two minutes. The new Mijia Smart Multi-oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro does much more. Using sensors, it tracks the brushing process and, once you’re done, shows you directly on the color display the areas of your teeth that you missed. Xiaomi has already published the full specs of the toothbrush on its global site, suggesting that the new model will be available in Europe soon.
The motor combines two different motions
One well-known toothbrushing technique is the Bass method, in which the toothbrush is held at an angle to the gum line and short, controlled strokes are performed. However, getting it right isn’t easy for everyone. That’s why Xiaomi tries to do part of the motion for you. Its brush head combines a horizontal movement with a 1 mm range, designed to help loosen plaque at the gums and between teeth, followed by a 30-step vertical sweeping action.

According to the manufacturer, the motor can deliver up to 30,720 movements per minute and 600 oscillations, with a torque of 450 gf·cm. The toothbrush also responds to resistance and continuously adjusts the motor’s performance. Xiaomi says this allows it to maintain the right range of motion under different conditions during brushing. The motor design has been registered by the manufacturer as a Chinese utility model.
A six-axis sensor tracks the brushing process
One of the most interesting parts of the toothbrush is the six-axis sensor, which lets the device track the position and angle of the brush head. Based on that, it can adapt the brushing method to different parts of your teeth. Along the gum line, it uses a combination of horizontal and sweeping motions, while on the chewing surfaces it focuses on grooves and fissures. During use, the color display shows the time and brushing progress, and after you’re finished it highlights areas that you brushed insufficiently or missed entirely.
The display interface itself supports English, Russian, and Traditional Chinese; Slovak isn’t among the available languages. The toothbrush also tracks pressure electronically. Color alerts let you know about too little pressure, the optimal pressure, and pressing too hard. If you exceed the limit of about 350 grams, a red warning will light up and the toothbrush automatically reduces vibration intensity to limit unnecessary strain on your gums.

After pairing with the Xiaomi Home app, you’ll get a more detailed overview of tooth coverage, brushing duration, the pressure used, and the risk of remaining plaque. In addition to the four basic modes, you can also set six custom programs, for example for users with braces, sensitive gums, or for whitening. Intensity can be adjusted across ten levels.
Flexible neck and three brush heads in the box
The neck of the brush head is covered with a soft material and can bend under pressure up to 45 degrees. This makes it easier to reach the back teeth and inner sides of your teeth. The bristles don’t use a copper wire, and their gradual fading acts as an indicator that it’s time to replace the brush head. The Clean version uses bristles trimmed into an arc for everyday cleaning, while Soft is designed mainly for more sensitive gums. In the box you get three brush heads – two Clean and one Soft – together with the charging cable.
The body of the toothbrush is made from a single piece of aluminum alloy with an anodized and sandblasted finish. The IPX8 certification ensures high resistance to water, so regular rinsing under running water isn’t a problem. No travel lock is missing, nor the three-second slow ramp-up after turning on, designed to limit splashing of toothpaste. The brush measures 28.25 × 254.44 mm, and a full charge should take about four hours.
Take the manufacturer’s test results with a grain of salt
With its new toothbrush, Xiaomi also claims several results from its own tests. Compared with a manual toothbrush, it should remove plaque 1.18x more effectively, and gum protection should be 21% better than with the older T700 model. The manufacturer also states that 94.1% of test participants were able to perform the required cleaning technique after two weeks. However, these are results from tests presented by Xiaomi itself, so they can’t be considered independent verification of the toothbrush’s effectiveness yet.

One important piece of information is missing from the official specifications. Xiaomi doesn’t state battery life per charge, even though this can be a key parameter for an electric toothbrush—especially when you travel. We only know that a full charge takes about four hours when powered by 5 V / 2 A. With some older brushes, Xiaomi used to actively praise long battery life.
In China it costs less than 70 €
Mijia Smart Multi-oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro has a recommended price of 549 yuan in China, which is under 75 € in conversion. During the May sales launch, Xiaomi offered it at a discounted 429 yuan, i.e. under 60 €. The product page has also appeared on Xiaomi’s global website with full specs, but the manufacturer hasn’t yet announced the global price or the specific countries where the toothbrush will be officially sold.
If you do buy it, watch out for the name itself as well. Xiaomi offers several electric toothbrushes with very similar naming. For example, it sells Xiaomi Oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro, which we know from offers around 36 €, and there’s also the Mijia Smart Servo-oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro with a different brush-head movement method. The new Multi-oscillation Pro differs from them mainly thanks to a combination of dual-phase movement and advanced cleaning-pattern monitoring.
