The first render of the much-expected POCO F5 has appeared online. This is how it could look

We’ve gotten used to the fact that POCO, in most cases, produces global versions of Chinese Redmi smartphones with a slightly tweaked design and its own software overlay. The same will be true for POCO F5, which we can take a closer look at thanks to the published render.

The render appeared on Weibo

The render was traditionally revealed on the Chinese social network Weibo, along with its short description. However, it’s worth remembering that this isn’t a render made directly by Xiaomi, so you should still take it with a grain of salt.

At least this gives us a glimpse into which design route this company might take next year, and we have to admit that we like it—the device looks premium at first glance.

POCO F5 will therefore be the global version of the smartphone Redmi K60, bringing a completely new design. You can spot it on the matte back glass and therectangular camera module, which houses 3 sensors.

It should impress with performance and cameras

The main feature should be the 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, along with optical stabilization. As for the processor, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 should be used, but it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

On the front, you can notice that the bezels around the display are absolutely symmetrical. This little feature should also come to smartphones from the Xiaomi 13 series. For POCO F5, it will be a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Battery life also won’t be an issue

The fingerprint sensor won’t be located in the display, but in the side power button. The smartphone will please users with a 5 000 mAh battery along with 67-watt fast charging, which will be included in the package.

We don’t yet know when POCO will present the smartphone, but first the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor and the Redmi K60 smartphone must be announced—since POCO F5 is expected to be based on it.
