The Chinese giant Xiaomi is getting ready to reveal its next smartphone. It officially announced when it will launch the already third generation of the Civi model on the domestic Chinese market.
The launch is in just a few days
Xiaomi Civi 3 will be officially unveiled on May 25 at 14:00 local time in China. On the social network Weibo, Xiaomi shared several posters showing the design of the upcoming smartphone.
It will be available on the market in up to four attractive colors: pink, gold, green, and gray. The two-tone look of the back also looks great, making the phone feel more playful and less ordinary.
All offered colors were created in collaboration with WGSN. A company that predicts trends and also knows its way around design and fashion.
A thin and lightweight smartphone
On the posters, Xiaomi talked about several parameters—for example, the width of the Xiaomi Civi 3 will be 71.7 mm and it will be just 7.56 mm thin. All of this with a weight of 173.5 grams.
We’ll see whether the third generation keeps the dual selfie camera element. At first glance, it looked a bit controversial, because it resembles Dynamic Island from a competing Apple.
High performance
On the back, there will be a prominent circular camera module, as we could see for example on the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It will include a 50-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization.
The other two sensors haven’t been revealed yet, but we assume it will be an ultra-wide sensor and a macro lens.
Earlier, we already brought you the information that the Xiaomi Civi 3 smartphone will be equipped with a new processor in cooperation with MediaTek—specifically Dimensity 8200-Ultra made using a 4-nanometer TSMC process
Will it come to the global market?
The previous generation of the Xiaomi Civi 2 model ultimately showed up on the global market as the Xiaomi 13 Lite. So it’s possible that the Civi 3 model arrives on the global market later as Xiaomi 14 Lite, but nothing is certain.
