POCO, a subsidiary brand of the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, POCO, has revealed the official specs of its branded smartphone POCO F5. This model will be able to boast a Qualcomm-made processor and won’t be left behind when it comes to display resolution, either.
POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro: Snapdragon processor 7+ Gen 2
First of all, it’s important to remember that the global version of the POCO F5 or POCO F5 Pro hasn’t been officially unveiled yet. However, the leaks have already revealed something. Now we also have official information published on the social network Twitter. The company announces an online press conference scheduled for May 9, 2023, at 14:00 our time (20:00 GMT +8).
Additionally, the information was also published on Qualcomm’s company profile. It highlights that the POCO F5 newcomer currently in the pipeline will deliver a smooth and fast user experience even for gaming and mobile photography. Thanks to the processor used—plus we already know the exact model. It will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
A thin build and a WQHD+ display resolution
From other official images, we also know that the POCO F5 smartphone will come with an eye-catching gradient design in a white colorway with a hint of blue. A flat design and sharper edges will ensure a more secure grip on the thin build, which will be just 7.9 mm thick. The entire device will weigh in at a very pleasant 181 grams.
Official posts didn’t miss out either POCO F5 Pro. In the photo of this device, we can see the resolution of the panel being used, which will be up to WQHD+ (1440p). Given previous Xiaomi smartphones, it should be roughly a resolution on the level of 3200 x 1440 pixels. We don’t know the panel technology yet, nor do we know the battery capacity or charging speed.
We’ll have to wait a few more days for some additional details, technical specs, availability, or the sale price. However, the press conference is approaching fast, and we believe we’ll also learn the launch and availability in Slovakia.
