POCO’s sub-brand POCO is preparing its next powerful F-series smartphone. It will be the POCO F6 and we already know the first performance tests that also reveal the processor.
The global POCO F6 should be based on the yet-unannounced Chinese Redmi Note 13 Turbo. A similar situation happened last year too with POCO F5, which was based on the Chinese Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
POCO F6: We know the first details from the Geekbench database
Recent leaks have revealed to us that the POCO F6 smartphone is listed in the Geekbench website database. Including it in the performance test database suggests that the global launch of this smartphone is really close and could happen as early as this month. Even a post with the first technical specifications of this smartphone appeared on Twitter.
The upcoming device named POCO F6 has been listed under the model code 24069PC21G. Based on information contained in the Geekbench database, we know that this smartphone will be equipped with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. It promises high efficiency and top-tier performance, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM for fast multitasking.
What’s interesting is that the smartphone will ship directly with the latest Android 14 operating system. In this segment, that definitely isn’t a given, and we’re curious how many updates from Google it will ultimately support. The fourteenth generation includes solid privacy protection features, better battery management, and an improved user interface.
120 Hz AMOLED display, 5G connectivity, and fast charging?
Even though we don’t know the exact Geekbench scores, the combination of the Snapdragon processor and 12 GB of RAM suggests you won’t have to worry about performance—even with more graphically demanding gaming titles.
Performance, though, won’t be the only advantage. In the POCO F6, you’ll also find an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. We don’t know the photographic features yet, but an efficient primary sensor is expected, along with 4K video, a night mode, and advanced image stabilization. 5G connectivity and Xiaomi’s fast charging won’t be missing either, following in the footsteps of its predecessors.
Given POCO’s position within the Xiaomi ecosystem, we expect the selling price of the POCO F6 to be aggressive against the competition on the market. However, we still don’t have a specific amount for which the smartphone will be sold in the global market. It’s also important to mention that all information is unofficial and unconfirmed by the Chinese manufacturer.
