We know the chips used in both POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra

The official POCO social media profile on X announced which chips will go into these smartphones. For the POCO F7 Pro, you’ll get a chip that’s one generation older—but still very powerful, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As has been known for a while, the POCO F7 Ultra will get the best that today’s technology allows, namely Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The more powerful edition, according to the manufacturer, reaches an impressive score in the AnTuTu Benchmark—2 843 461 points. The TechTablets YouTube channel got a slightly lower score, but of course the results depend on various factors. We recommend checking out the video above.

Official unveiling on 27. March

The POCO F7 Ultra brings a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. According to early testers, the screen features very thin bezels and an extremely fast and precise ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.

After unboxing, you’ll go through the initial setup of the Android 15 operating system with the HyperOS 2 graphical interface, which includes special tweaks for devices from the POCO brand.

It comes with software featuring AI elements Xiaomi HyperAI, as well as Google Gemini. The yellow version of the “Ultra” model looks especially interesting. The package includes covers too, as well as charging adapters, which we appreciate.

What do you think of these two new devices so far? The design is definitely interesting, and the spec sheet looks even better. We’ll certainly get a more detailed rundown by March 27, 2025, when these smartphones are officially introduced to the global market.
