The new flagship from Redmi is already being prepared for its premiere in China. Thanks to a leak from the database of a well-known benchmarking app Geekbench, we have the first concrete look at what to expect from the upcoming model Redmi K90 Pro.

It will most likely appear globally under the name Poco F8 Ultra – just like we saw with the previous generation Redmi K80 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. This move could again allow Xiaomi to bring high-end hardware to global markets at an aggressive price – which is exactly what the Poco brand is famous for. Evidently, you can look forward to a serious rocket.
The first Geekbench scores and the specs promising top performance
Redmi K90 Pro appeared on Geekbench with model number 25102RKBEC and, according to the listing, runs the latest Android 16 operating system, which will make it one of the first Poco smartphones with this version. The biggest new feature, however, is the processor — it uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the latest and most powerful chip from Qualcomm, which we have already seen in the packed Xiaomi 17 series.
The Benchmark showed impressive results — 3 559 points in the single-core test and 11 060 points in multi-core performance. These numbers are fully comparable with other expected flagship models like OnePlus 15, suggesting that the upcoming Redmi K90 Pro (or Poco F8 Ultra) will belong to the absolute top tier in terms of performance among today’s Android devices.
More expected specs include a 6.59-inch flat display, 50 MP triple rear camera, and a large battery with support for 100 W fast charging. The device will also come with plenty of RAM – there will be a version with 16 GB RAM, which will surely ensure ultra-smooth multitasking even for demanding work or gaming.
The official launch of the Redmi K90 series is expected sometime during October 2025. So there are just a few days left before we learn more—but it’s already clear that Poco F8 Ultra will be one of the most interesting smartphones on the market with a new generation of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, at least from the price-to-performance perspective.
