Our detailed review of POCO X6 Pro 5G:
The design definitely stands out
From the design perspective, the POCO X6 Pro 5G smartphone will definitely catch your attention—especially in the yellow color variant. It’s not just the bold color, the vegan leather, but also the interesting “damask” back-camera finish that makes this colorful variant a huge eye-catcher.
As for the dimensions, the numbers are as follows: 160.5 x 74.3 x 8.1 mm and a weight of 198 grams. The build also features IP54 resistance certification, which isn’t the highest rating, but in unexpected situations it can save you from dust and water.
Besides the yellow variant, you’ll also have other color options—classic black and an interesting light-gray version:
The front is made by a large 6.67″ CrystalRes AMOLED display with very slim bezels and a fine resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. It offers 446 ppi sharpness, a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as up to 1800 nits of maximum brightness. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The display is the same one used in the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G model. Another interesting detail is that for the very first time, POCO included a fingerprint sensor under the display in the X series.
POCO X6 Pro 5G offers solid performance even for gaming
The octa-core flagship processor MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra in the POCO X6 Pro 5G is produced using a 4 nm manufacturing process, and it’s also paired with a Mali G615-MC6 graphics chip.
When it comes to raw performance, in the well-known AnTuTu benchmark it scored 1 446 868 points, which is impressive for a mid-range smartphone. To make this performance as efficient as possible, you also need quality cooling, ensured by a 5000 mm2 vapor chamber.
The mentioned pair is further complemented by 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage in the base version, while in the higher version it’s a proper load of memory – 12 GB RAM and up to 512 GB of internal memory. POCO even used fast memory chips LPDDR5X for RAM and UFS 4.0 for internal storage, which are typical for flagship devices.
64 MP camera with OIS
On the back, you’ll see the massive 3-camera modules. The main one is a 64 MP sensor with optical image stabilization, 2x lossless zoom, and 4K / 30 fps video.
The equipment also includes a 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2 MP macro sensor. The front camera sits in a display cutout and has a resolution of 16 MP.
Other features include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and also GPS connectivity, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, as well as NFC support for mobile payments via Google Pay.
On the software side, Android 13 is available, enhanced with the latest HyperOS overlay. The built-in battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports ultra-fast charging with a power of 67 W. You can use a USB Type-C connector to charge it.
