The subsidiary brand of the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, the company POCO, is preparing its next smartphone in the “X” series, under the name POCO X6 Pro 5G. It should reach the market already during January 2024.
POCO X6 Pro 5G: These are the expected technical specifications
Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi launched the Redmi K70 series on the Chinese market about three weeks ago. It includes 3 models: Redmi K70E, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70 Pro.
And while the original leaks said that Redmi K70E would arrive as a global POCO F6, that won’t happen. The manufacturer decided to revive its popular “X” series and will use the name POCO X6 Pro 5G. for the global variant.
On the market already for a few weeks
The POCO X3 Pro impressed with a very good price-to-performance ratio. That model offered a flagship chip from 2019, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860. Now, however, a new generation is coming—POCO X6 Pro 5G—which will be slightly different in terms of its specs.
In this case, performance will be handled by MediaTek Dimensity 8300. Choosing a high-performance chip from MediaTek is especially interesting given the price range the smartphone is expected to be sold in.
POCO’s official press conference should take place in January 2024. Besides the global launch, we should also see an Indian version. And that also means it will arrive on the market with HyperOS software, based on Android 14.
Xiaomi is expecting a lot from its subsidiary brand. The return of the “X” series from POCO appeared on Xiaomi’s official server. And the support for the latest software also suggests excellent optimization, smooth operation, and the newest features from Chinese developers. We’ve prepared a detailed article about HyperOS for you in our editorial office as well. You can find it in the following link.
