POCO X7 Pro 5G: The new king of mid‑range smartphones for 2025!
POCO X7 Pro continues the design language of its predecessors. It features rounded edges as well as a distinctive rear camera module. The build is also water- and dust-resistant, with an IP68 certification. Overall dimensions are 160.75 x 75.24 x 8.29 mm, weighing up to 198 g.
The smartphone display is on the front and comes with a 6.67″ diagonal. This is a CrystalRes Flow AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, a high refresh rate up to 120 Hz, PWM dimming, and a maximum brightness of up to 3200 nits. It’s covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protective glass.
Power comes from the latest chip from MediaTek. It’s an eight-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra, plus a super core A725 clocked up to 3.25 GHz. It’s paired with a ARM Mali-G720 graphics chip and an NPU 880 processor to keep AI features running smoothly. The resulting AnTuTu test score is exceptionally high—over 1,704,000 points.
Depending on the configuration, you’ll get 8/ 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as well as 256 / 512 GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage. What’s interesting is that UFS 4.0 is used in the most powerful and most expensive flagship models too—here, though, it’s available at a much lower price.
Finally, an even better camera: 50 MPx from Sony
Let’s move on to the cameras. The POCO X series is known mainly for delivering the highest performance for the lowest price. But in 2025, POCO finally listened to feedback from its fans—and equipped the POCO X7 Pro with a much better sensor.
The main rear camera offers 50 MPx resolution with an f/1.5 aperture. It uses the Sony IMX882 sensor, which you can also find in the more expensive POCO F6. The sensor includes hybrid optical (OIS) and electronic image stabilization.
The camera setup is rounded out by an 8 MPx ultra-wide sensor and an LED flash. The front camera has 20 MPx resolution and sits under a cutout in the display. You’ll also get a Night mode, a Dual Video mode, motion tracking Motion Tracking 2.0, or Ultra Snap for perfect “selfie” shots.
Both the front and rear cameras capture more detail with increased depth from light and shadows thanks to an RAW-based algorithm. The rear camera can record video in 4K resolution at smooth 60 fps, of course with active OIS and EIS.
A massive 6000 mAh battery and 90 W charging
POCO also brings a dual-cell battery pack, boosting capacity up to a 6000 mAh level. The company promises up to 14.5 hours of standard usage. Plus, there’s improved HyperCharge fast charging via USB‑C with up to 90 W. A full charge takes about 42 minutes.
The manufacturer has also integrated protective chips Surge G1 and Surge P2, which handle charging and battery health. After 1000 charging cycles, you’ll still have available 90% and more of the original battery capacity. Smart phone cooling has also been improved, with LiquidCool Technology 4.0.
HyperOS 2 packed with AI features
From the very first power-on, POCO X7 Pro is available with the latest HyperOS 2 interface built on Android 15. Its system is loaded with AI features such as AI Erase Pro, AI Image Expansion, AI Film, AI Translator, AI Notes, and AI Recorder.
It also has the AI Call-Boost feature for improved phone calls, support for Google Gemini, and better software responses when there’s liquid on the screen. The specs are completed by NFC, an IR blaster, and dual-frequency GPS. The fingerprint sensor is under the OLED panel, and dual-SIM card support is also available.
Special Iron Man edition!
For the first time in its history, POCO brings to the global market a limited edition of its smartphone: – POCO X7 Pro Iron Man Edition. It’s a design variant in the Iron Man style from the official collaboration with Marvel. This style is tuned not only on the outside, but also across the entire package—and even includes special design elements directly in the system – a special icon pack and wallpapers.
