Redmi AirDots: Our review
After long 4 weeks of waiting, we finally got them. One of the most wanted headphones—there was no way we were going to miss out, so we bought them too. After unboxing, we had a few minor initial pairing issues, but in the end we successfully paired them. Thanks to this video.
The sound pleasantly surprised us. Considering these are headphones priced under €20, the result is far above average. The headphones are tuned more for bass than for treble. The bass drivers have more than enough, and as music lovers of electronic tracks, that doesn’t bother us at all—on the contrary.
However, better treble balance wouldn’t hurt. All it took was a bit of tweaking with the equalizer and we tuned the sound to our preferences. The advantage is that after the initial pairing, the headphones connect to your smartphone in one second. Communication is really fast thanks to Bluetooth 5.0.
Our battery endurance test showed a real playback time of 3 hours; combined with the charging case, we measured a total of 9.5 hours.
Still, we would appreciate a battery indicator in the charging box. The battery status of the headphones can be checked directly in your smartphone via the connected Bluetooth devices.
