The unveiling of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition gaming smartphone is getting closer. The manufacturer is once again teasing the device’s key features. The new thing is the connection between Redmi and the music brand JBL, which should deliver truly high-quality sound.

Music giant JBL

For the Mi 11 Xiaomi series, Xiaomi worked with the Harman / Kardon brand. Even with this, Redmi shows that it is indeed a Xiaomi subsidiary, but it wants to bring its own solutions to smartphones.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will feature stereo speakers and audio technology from JBL. The manufacturer is trying to offer the best possible experience, whether in games or when viewing multimedia content.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will have the “SOUND BY JBL” inscription printed on the side. We can also look forward to Dolby Atmos audio support, which will boost the sound and improve its spatial perception.

A specially shaped lightning bolt

The fact that the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will be a gaming smartphone in body and soul is also shown by the lightning bolt on the back of the device. It sits outside the main triple camera module and has the shape of a lightning bolt. This shape will be a recognizable sign of Redmi’s gaming lineup.

Additionally, the manufacturer also revealed the battery capacity. Its size has been set at 5065 mAh and charging power will be 67 W. The manufacturer also thinks about gaming comfort and points out that the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will be a lighter device than its direct competition. We’ll see whether Redmi will achieve lower weight through the materials used or another parameter.

Technologies that will make the gaming smartphone truly top-notch. In the last few days, the manufacturer has revealed several elements of the new smartphone. Besides the used MediaTek processor, we also learned about the flexible 120Hz AMOLED display. Get ready for the slide-out gaming buttons for an even better gaming experience.

The official launch will take place on 27 April. The smartphone will be available in the Chinese market, but it is expected to come to Europe and India under the POCO brand.
