REDMI packs up to 8000 mAh into a smartphone body

New information about REDMI devices has been brought by a well-known informant nicknamed Digital Chat Station. According to his findings, this manufacturer is preparing a new market model with a huge 7500 mAh battery.

And more speculation from the Netizens source talks about REDMI as a manufacturer that is currently testing even bigger batteries. According to this source, we should see up to a 8000 mAh capacity.

Preparing REDMI Turbo 4 Pro and other series

However, battery innovations from this Chinese brand are nothing new. It was the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, series that brought a battery of more than 6000 mAh with ultra-fast 120 W wired charging. This happened in November 2024. And already in January 2025, we have REDMI Turbo 4, on the market with a massive 6550 mAh battery and 90 W fast wired charging.

Digital Chat Station’s latest update about Redmi Turbo 4 Pro

Among the models being prepared, there should also be a successor to the Turbo 4, called Turbo 4 Pro. This model is expected to offer an even larger battery capacity—around 7000 mAh. It should hit the market in the second quarter of 2025, of course in its Chinese version, primarily intended for the domestic market.

Besides that, REDMI is also continuing to work on its other models and series. Specifically, it should include:

  • The REDMI Note 15 series
  • REDMI K80 Ultra
  • REDMI K90 and K90 Pro

Some of these models have leaked information suggesting they will offer 7500 mAh—or even an even larger battery. And that’s exactly why there is strong demand among users for high-battery-life devices, even if it means bigger dimensions.

Users prefer reduced dependence on power supply—especially in areas where electricity availability is worse, or for active users who use their devices while traveling frequently.

And while the Chinese company keeps testing new battery solutions for smartphones, new materials and new manufacturing processes ensure that those once-high capacities (e.g., 5000, 5500 mAh) will gradually make their way into cheaper mid-range devices too.

Flagship models will then be a sort of testbed for ultimate capacities above 6000 mAh. Naturally, such capacities will also require new safety standards for long-lasting use—even with repeated charging.
