The sale of the top-tier Redmi K20 Pro was one of the first to be launched by the well-known and trusted retailer on Aliexpress – Hong Kong Goldway. They offer multiple versions of the smartphone. However, keep in mind that not all versions support LTE B20 band, and the differences are only in the system.
Models labeled “Official Global ROM” come with a global MIUI software overlay installed, which includes international languages, including Slovak and Czech. The blue and black, or carbon version with the global MIUI cost €362 / 9280 CZK, while the red variant comes to €375 / 9603 CZK.
There are also purely Chinese versions available, i.e. versions with the original Chinese MIUI system that includes English. These are cheaper. The cheapest is the blue variant, which costs €341 / 8751 CZK, black is priced at €345 / 8843 CZK, and red costs €356 / 9142 CZK.

The seller Hong Kong Goldway on Aliexpress is one of the few that offers delivery without having to pay tax and customs duty. With its DHL shipping method, which costs a fee of €24, they’ll handle the customs fees and VAT for you.

What to watch out for before buying the Redmi K20 Pro
As we already mentioned at the very beginning of the article, Redmi K20 Pro does not support the LTE B20 band, i.e. the 800 MHz frequency. Slovak and Czech mobile operators use this frequency to broadcast 4G LTE networks outside cities, i.e. in towns and villages.
The absence of the LTE B20 band in the smartphone means that on the 4G LTE network, the phone will only connect in cities where operators use other frequencies as well. These Redmi K20 Pro models support that. Outside cities, the smartphone connects to 2G and 3G networks, which it supports in full on both Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Specifically, it supports the following LTE bands: B1 (2100 MHz), B3 (1800 MHz), B5 (850 MHz), B7 (2600 MHz), B8 (900 MHz).
For example, users of the Slovak operator 4ka won’t have any problems with connecting to the 4G LTE network. This operator uses the LTE band B3 (1800 MHz), which the smartphone supports.
Another limitation for a regular user may be exactly in the system. The original Chinese version of a smartphone with Chinese MIUI includes only Chinese and English and does not have preinstalled Google apps (Play Store, Gmail, YouTube…).
Even though the Google apps themselves can be reinstalled, a better solution in this case is installing the Czech/Slovak MIUI ROM from the Miuios.cz community. Their system includes a full translation into Slovak and Czech, has all Google apps, and regular updates.
