Redmi K30 Pro is currently the most anticipated phone. It will be available next Tuesday 24.03. 2020 via an online conference. However, Redmi is still revealing its specs bit by bit.
A beefed-up main camera
Redmi kept the tradition and gradually shared details of the upcoming smartphone. Now the company has given us insight into the main sensor specs. Redmi K30 Pro will feature a main sensor from Sony, specifically 64 MPx Sony IMX686 sensor.
The size of this sensor is 1/1.7″ with f/1.89 aperture and a pixel size up to 1.6 µm. It will use a 7P lens. The sensor includes a 4-in-1 pixel binning technology that combines 4 pixels into one larger one. Thanks to this, it delivers much better results in worse lighting conditions.
The sensor can capture photos with an enormous resolution of 9248 x 6944 pixels. With such a high resolution, you’ll be able to zoom in on photos without any sign of blurriness. The sensor will support 3x optical and 30x digital zoom.
8K video – you don’t have to worry about storage
Technologies are still advancing and 4K visuals are becoming more and more common. Redmi is moving even faster, and it will add support for 30K video to the Redmi K8 Pro model, just like Xiaomi did with Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.
The resolution of 8K videos will be stunning 7680 x 4320 pixels. It also states that the video can be finely grained, and it informs us that we don’t need to worry about taking up a lot of memory. After recording, the 8K recording size can be compressed by approximately 50% while keeping the quality.
Dual OIS system
Optical image stabilization is very important in a quality camera. Redmi adds this technology right for two sensors. It was expected that it would be the main 64 MPx Sony sensor, but OIS will also be supported on the telephoto lens, whose details we don’t know yet.
We know that the telephoto lens will have 3-x optical zoom in the base version; we don’t know yet what it will be like in the Zoom version of this smartphone. The OIS technology will let us take stable photos and videos even at long distances.
Besides the main 64 MPx camera and the mentioned telephoto lens, a wide-angle sensor and a macro sensor are also expected. However, the specs of these sensors are not known yet.
New color
Just a few days ago, Redmi introduced 3 color variants. It was green, white, and purple. Today, however, there’s a new update: the smartphone will also be available in elegant gray. No matter which color version you choose, you can also spot a distinct red power button.
