Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, is preparing its new flagship smartphone Redmi K50, which could also make it to the global market. And under the name POCO F4. This smartphone is also supposed to deliver high performance that will even beat the current flagship models.
Redmi K50 as POCO F4: Power will be handled by MediaTek Dimensity 9000
As previous leaks have already revealed, in China a new flagship ship called Redmi K50 will be presented on March 17, 2022. This smartphone will be the base model of the series we already know, the one aimed at gamers, i.e. Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.
The gaming version is powered by the 4 nm flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The base model, however, will go even further and offer an alternative in the form of the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. That, at least on paper, beat the Snapdragon, and according to testing in AnTuTu it will be a model with the most powerful processor in the world. Both smartphones, K50 and K50 Gaming Edition, will thus land at the top of the pack.
The most powerful smartphone in the Xiaomi ecosystem
We should also see the new smartphone on the global market. However, since Xiaomi sells flagship devices under the Redmi brand only in China. On the global market, we can look forward to a new POCO smartphone that will join the popular budget-friendly “F” series as POCO F4.
If we look at the details of the AnTuTu testing, the total score of 1 041 818 points is unique and includes 265 743 CPU points as well as 394 078 GPU points. This device will therefore deliver extreme performance that will even beat the recently introduced Xiaomi 12. So at least it will be the most powerful Xiaomi smartphone ever presented. And also one of the most powerful, flagship, serial smartphones on the market.
Moreover, this is also a win for MediaTek, which this time was able to offer the most powerful processor on the market to individual manufacturers. This performance will also translate into affordable devices, such as POCO F4, and the “F” series will continue the legacy of its predecessors.
