Redmi Note 11 JE will be the base model in a new series of smartphones. It should impress with IP68 certification

It seems that Redmi is messing with smartphone names again, and we’re learning about the Redmi Note 11 JE model. It will be part of the recently unveiled Redmi Note 11 series. It should impress with IP68 certification.

Another model for the Redmi Note 11 series

This fact was revealed by the portal Xiaomiui, where we learn that the device will be introduced in February this year, but only in specific markets. Maybe we’ll see it on the European market as well.

We don’t have much information about this upcoming smartphone yet. We know it was registered under number  22021119KR. Inside, we should expect a weaker processor from Qualcomm; specifically, it should be the Snapdragon 480+.

In front, you’ll get a 6,6-inch display with Full HD resolution and a 90-hertz refresh rate. As for the design, it should be based on the Redmi Note 11 model. So we expect an elegant look with sharply cut edges.

The battery will delight with a capacity of 5 000 mAh, but it’s rumored there will be no fast charging—so we’re likely looking at charging speeds of at most 18 W.

This model won’t surprise with its main camera, as it will use a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor with a resolution of 50 MPx. This sensor is often used by Redmi in these cheaper smartphones.

It could be paired with an ultra-wide-angle sensor and some kind of macro sensor. That’s the standard setup for cheaper Redmi and Xiaomi models.

You’ll get IP68 certification

It’s also expected that it will come with IP68 certification, which would provide certified water resistance and dust protection. For this price range, that’s an unprecedented feature—and that’s exactly how this model could stand out.

Other specs are not known for now. But it’s great that Redmi wants to attract users even in the lowest price tier, and it will surely score with its excellent price-to-performance ratio.
