The new model comes in three color options: “Star Sand Green”, “Mirror Porcelain White”, and “Midnight Black”. These are its other features, too. It’s guaranteed to be one of the most premium smartphones in its category.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a display that protects your eyes
To start with, let’s talk about the display. Redmi Note 14 Pro+ comes with a 1.5K OLED display with a 6.67″ diagonal and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits. Plus, it protects your eyes during long-term use. Whether you’re an avid mobile gamer or you like reading on your phone for longer periods, Redmi Note 14 Pro+ won’t cause excessive eye fatigue.
It has a 2560 Hz instant sampling rate for high responsiveness and 1920 Hz PWM dimming that prevents the display from flickering at low brightness. The device frame is labeled as “King Kong” and resists bending equivalent to a weight of 70 kg.
The construction dimensions are 162.53 x 74.67 x 8.66 mm and the weight is 210,8 grams.
A drop-resistance test was also conducted, consisting of dropping the smartphone to the ground from a height of 1.8 meters. Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is also resistant to splashing water, submersion, as well as strong water jets and high temperatures. The new model earned certifications IP66, IP68, and IP69. You can use the display with wet fingers thanks to Hand Touch 2.0 technology.
High performance and a new battery type
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, which delivers stable frame rates even when gaming demanding titles—while keeping temperatures relatively low. The performance will be more than enough for everyday use.
The whole series Redmi Note 14 can boast about big batteries. The premium variant “Pro+” will offer a capacity of up to 6200 mAh. It includes a new type of accumulator and it’s a silicon-carbon battery, known for its higher energy density up to 814 Wh/L. Thanks to that, it was possible to fit such a high capacity into a relatively small space.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ supports 90 W wired charging. For the first customers in China, there’s a 5-year warranty for optimal battery health. The phone also offers improved connectivity. A stable and strong signal reception is ensured by the built-in Xiaomi Pengpai T1 chip.
A telephoto lens that mainly impresses with macro shots
The camera setup on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is slightly different compared to the rest of the lineup. For the main camera, the LYT800 chip was used. Its aperture of f/1.6 allows for great night photos with low levels of digital noise.
Optical image stabilization also ensures stable videos and sharp night shots. The native dynamic range of the main camera reaches 13.2 EV.
The manufacturer also added a 50 MPx telephoto lens with a sensor ISOCELL JN1 and 60 mm focal length, with an aperture number f/2.0 and a 2.5x optical zoom. With it, you can create not only zoomed-in photos of natural scenery, urban architecture, or other distant objects, but also great macro shots.
An ultra-wide-angle lens with an 8 MPx sensor Sony IMX355 offers a 120-degree field of view and an aperture of f/2.2.
