Redmi is known for its Note line of smartphones. Xiaomi plans to introduce the Redmi Note 9 Pro, but it doesn’t seem it will be the only one announced. Redmi Note 9 Pro should be seeing the light of day on 12. March / března 2020.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max instead of Mi Max 4?
Everything is not certain; the info about the arrival of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes from Twitter. We don’t know the key differences between the Max model and the Pro model, but we can be sure of one thing – the display size.
The prefix “Max” might remind you of the Mi Max line of smartphones for fans of large displays. The Mi Max series had 3 smartphones, but several sources have no doubt that this series was discontinued with the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 smartphone.
From “Mi” to “Redmi”
All hope for Mi Max hasn’t been lost yet thanks to a tweet that talks about moving to the Redmi brand. Mi Max series phones never had flagship, or even mid-flagship, hardware. The “Mi” line is a flagship line, and that’s why it makes sense to move Mi Max smartphones to Redmi.
It looks promising that we’ll still see a continuation of the Mi Max series. So the specs of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max would be very similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro. More specifically, we’re talking about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (1,8 GHz, 8 cores) processor, at least 6 GB of RAM, a 64 MPx main camera with a new Sony IMX686 sensor, an ultra-wide camera, a telephoto lens, and a depth sensor.
The phone should also support fast 22,5 W or 30 W charging. The operating system should be Android 10 with MIUI 11 as the UI skin. At first glance, there are hardly any changes, but fans of the Mi Max series will be happy.
The display on the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max could cross the crazy limit of 7 inches. With phones that have a diagonal of over 7 inches, we could already call them small tablets.
