Today’s Redmi brand conference has successfully come to an end. In addition to a pair of new budget-friendly smartphones, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, the manufacturer also unveiled updated models of its RedmiBook 14 laptop lineup.
The laptop comes in new color options and is equipped with new generations of Intel processors. At the same time, it still keeps incredibly affordable prices.
New colors and processor
The updated RedmiBook 14 comes with two new color options – pink for ladies and dark gray. The new colors thus complement the original silver model. The design hasn’t changed in any way, and it’s still a 14″ all-metal laptop with quality workmanship and a weight of just 1.5 kg.
The main update to RedmiBook 14 is the Intel Core i7 10th generation processor called Comet Lake, which was launched on the market just last week. The exact processor model is Core i7-10510U, it has 4 cores, a base clock of 1.1 GHz with turbo up to 4.9 GHz.
Redmi also used the latest generation Intel Core i5 processor, which is manufactured using a 14 nm process, has 4 cores, a base clock of 1,2 GHz with turbo up to 4,6 GHz.
The new processor delivers a 13% performance improvement over the previous generation, while its power consumption is only 15 W. The equipment also includes a graphics chip Nvidia GeForce MX250 with 2 GB GDDR5 memory, which already arrived in the very first original model.
Prices for the Chinese market are great
The updated RedmiBook 14 model will be available in three versions that differ in processor and memory:
- RedmiBook 14 with Intel Core i5-10210U, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD for 3999 yuan = 505 € / 13 000 CZK
- RedmiBook 14 with Intel Core i5-10210U, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD for 4499 yuan = 570 € / 14 600 CZK
- RedmiBook 14 with Intel Core i7-10510U, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD for 4999 yuan = 630 € / 16 240 CZK
