The head of the Redmi brand first mentions the Redmi K50. What can we expect?

Redmi recently unveiled a whole portfolio of the Redmi K40 series, which includes smartphones like Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro + and the brand’s first gaming smartphone: Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. But the company is already working on the Redmi K50 series, and you’ll be able to get your hands on it by b in the coming months.

Lu Weibing also confirmed this

Redmi CEO Lu Weibing, on the Chinese social network Weibo, confirmed that work is already underway on the Redmi K50 series. He even asked what features the new series should have.

We expect Redmi to gradually roll out new features and hardware things, just like we’re used to with previous models. The Redmi K50 presentation date hasn’t been announced yet, but it will definitely be more than one model.

It’s quite possible we’ll have to wait a bit more, even though Redmi is shortening the cycle of its current models, and each next generation always arrives a little earlier than we’d expect.

What do users want?

Among the biggest updates users would like to see in the new model are faster charging and a larger memory capacity. Better device cooling is also expected, which could lead to higher performance as well.

We can’t say for sure whether Redmi will truly implement these updates into the Redmi K50, but on the other hand, Xiaomi and Redmi are among the few companies that listen to users and take suggestions about which improvements are worth making. We believe it will be the same in this case.

The device design will also undergo some changes, so it’s easier to recognize that it’s a new generation. The processor used will change too, and we’ll surely see support for 5G networks.
