Xiaomi recorded the fastest sales launch in its history and, at the same time, a record among all Chinese brands in year 2025.
1 million units in the first days of sales!
Just a few days after this record-breaking launch, the company confirmed that sales of the entire series have already surpassed the 1 million mark. This is an unprecedented success that no Xiaomi model has managed to achieve in such a short time so far.
As Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing said on his profile on the Chinese social network Weibo, demand for the Xiaomi 17 series significantly exceeded expectations. As he put it, the manufacturer is already increasing production capacity to meet customer interest: „Sales of the new series year-over-year grew by more than 20 %“, Weibing wrote with pride in his post.
Weibing also announced the launch of sales for a new top-end version of the base Xiaomi 17 model, coming with 16 GB of RAM and a huge 1 TB of internal storage.
Thanks to the compact body, a massive 7000 mAh battery, and 1 TB of internal storage, the base Xiaomi 17 model quickly earned praise from tech fans. Many have already called it “the most powerful standard flagship” the Xiaomi brand has ever introduced. The price of this model for the Chinese market was set at 5299 yuan, which is less than €640 in conversion.
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is the most in-demand model in the series
Even though the Xiaomi 17 lineup includes several models, the biggest interest was for Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. This model accounts for more than half of all devices sold. Next comes Xiaomi 17 Pro, which also found plenty of fans. It’s clear that customers are increasingly opting for the top-tier configuration with premium design and a unique second display on the back—features both premium models include.
For the first time in its history, Xiaomi recorded that most customers chose the most expensive models from the entire lineup. This is a clear sign that the brand is successfully building its position even in the high-end smartphone segment. The Pro Max model is therefore not only a technology leader, but also a commercial driver.
