First info about the new generation of rugged smartwatches Amazfit T-Rex 2

Just recently, the first information about the upcoming rugged smartwatches from Huami leaked online. They could come under the name Amazfit T-Rex 2.

First details on the new Amazfit T-Rex 2

The company Huami already has several smartwatches on the market, and practically all of them are very popular. The range is really broad—there’s something for everyone.

From simple models to elegant, sporty ones, and even rugged watches that don’t mind extreme conditions or not-so-gentle handling. This includes, for example, the new Amazfit T-Rex 2.

The new Amazfit T-Rex 2 smartwatches, just like their predecessor Amazfit T-Rex from the first generation, will again feature a special military-grade durability certification. What does that mean in practice?

These are extremely tough watches made from solid, high-quality materials. Plus, they come with smart features that, in this case, we should get a little more of compared to the first model.

An official FCC certification was also revealed—smartwatches that have already successfully passed it. There, however, the name Amazfit T-Rex Pro appears. It’s possible the final name will change, or it may differ for the global version if there is one in the future. After all, it should ultimately be the same product.

The specs are not known yet

For more detailed information about the look, features, or overall specs, we’ll have to wait a bit longer. Until now, the known functions of the smartwatches shown in the leaked image below are as follows.

It will be a fully customizable round watch face with many designs, a do-not-disturb mode, improved vibrations, a dedicated GPS module, or an expanded physical activity monitoring offering. The watches should be presented sometime in the middle of this year. They should come in multiple colors, including a camo version as well.
