Zepp Health, which is now behind the Amazfit brand, has officially announced the end of software and security support for several older models of its wearable devices.
Amazfit ends support for several models
On its official website, it lists the exact months when each product will receive its last updates. From June 2025, so-called “EOL” (End-of-Life) products include models such as GTS 4, Cheetah Pro and Cheetah (Round); in July, Bip 5 is added, and in August comes the Cheetah (Square) version. The final updates are expected in September for Amazfit Balance, Active and Active Edge.
Zepp Health also notes that regular security updates are provided every 90 days for at least two years from the date the product was launched on the market.
For example, the Amazfit Active 2 model is guaranteed to receive updates until January 2027. In the event of serious security vulnerabilities, the company reserves the right to intervene even beyond this timeframe.
For users, it’s also important to know that Zepp Health has never guaranteed the introduction of new features through updates — especially for models that are already discontinued. In fact, these devices may no longer even receive security vulnerability fixes.
