The Chinese company Xiaomi unveiled its Xiaomi 13 device lineup on the Chinese market a few weeks ago. Now we know the European prices of these devices, which, however, won’t exactly make you happy. For the global versions, we’ll be paying quite a premium in local markets.
These are the European retail prices for Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro
The press conference by the Chinese manufacturer aimed at Europe should take place in the coming weeks. From the leaked information available on the social network Twitter, we know that preorders should start in the period before 7. March 2023. The official sales start should then be scheduled for 8. March 2023.
The information comes from a source with the nickname Billbil-kun and it concerns the French retail market. Similar information should, however, apply to other retail markets across Europe as well. Let’s move on to the retail prices, which definitely aren’t flattering:
- Xiaomi 13 in the 256 GB version (global version) for 999 €
- Xiaomi 13 Pro in the 256 GB version (global version) for 1299 €
Price hike of a few hundred euros
When you compare it to Chinese retail prices, the base model 13 announced at the press conference in December 2022 launched for the equivalent of from €545, and the equivalent 256 GB model then from €586. Xiaomi 13 Pro in China started at a value of €681, and the equivalent with 256 GB storage then from €735. So the surcharge is in the range of a few hundred euros.
The leaked information also talks about available color options. The global version should include the white, black, and green color combination of the base Xiaomi 13 model. With Xiaomi 13 Pro, it should then be only the white and black color combination.
The source doesn’t mention any changes in the technical specifications. So we could also see the continued cooperation with the German brand Leica, as well as the E6 AMOLED panel from Samsung and the flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, we’ll have to wait a few more days to see whether this information is confirmed.
