As early as next Tuesday, we expect a big event where the Redmi brand will introduce new products. The biggest attraction is, of course, the new Redmi K30 smartphone. The brand will also bring a new addition to its laptop lineup, the new RedmiBook 13 Full Screen Edition.
We know some of the specs
During the past week, several official Redmi and Xiaomi profiles on Weibo shared a few details about the upcoming new product. Its launch is expected together with the Redmi K30 smartphone at a press conference on 10 December.

RedmiBook 13 Full Screen Edition is the successor to the brand's cheapest laptop version and, as the name suggests, a display with thinner bezels is expected. The overall dimensions of the device could therefore be reduced dramatically.
Overall dimensions, but especially the low thickness and weight, will place the new laptop in the ultrabook category – Redmi assures in one of the promotional posters.
The new Redmibook 13 has built-in ultra-thin fans developed using technologies used in aviation. Thanks to this, engineers achieved more efficient cooling based on stronger airflow with lower noise levels and lower power consumption.
A very strong pillar of the entire RedmiBook 13 lineup is the integrated 10th-generation Intel Core i7 processor with a total speed of 4.9 GHz. It promises up to 44.6% more performance compared to the previous generation of laptops.
Graphics rendering will be handled by an Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. It is a standard type of graphics often used in laptops, especially for its low demands and enough power even for gaming.
Battery parameters are not known yet, but the manufacturer promises up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The new RedmiBook 13 will also bring software improvements
The Redmi brand is also integrating a smart feature called „Xiaomi Mutual Transmission“ into the new RedmiBook. It will make it easy to pair your smartphone with the laptop for simpler and more intuitive content sharing or internet connection.
Another new and very practical feature will also be the ability to unlock the RedmiBook using a Mi Band, removing the need to enter a password for a long time.
For an extra 748 yuan – approximately 96 € / 2 452 kč, the new RedmiBook owner will be able to use the Microsoft Office software package. We don't know the other specs yet and the price of the device itself has not been revealed yet, but we hope it won't disappoint us. We will bring the full specification no later than 10 December 2019.
