This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

What impressed us was its solid vacuuming performance, good navigation around the space, and an elegant design. Mopping was weaker, but that’s also one of the areas where the new Viomi SE Upgraded Edition brings improvements.

The new vacuum cleaner has suction power of 2200 Pa, and the high-quality Japanese Nidec motor can run for up to 120 minutes on a single charge.

A new generation of the LDS system for scanning the space

The Viomi SE Upgraded Edition comes with improved home scanning thanks to a new generation laser system LDS. The Lidar system helps the vacuum build a 3D model of your rooms, improving overall efficiency.

Vacuuming quality is improved by up to 30 % compared to the previous model. This is ensured by artificial intelligence working together with the SLAM algorithm.

There are 2 ways to clean rooms – the classic, so-called S-type, when the vacuum cleaner moves through rooms in the usual way with paths shaped like the letter S, and the Y-type in version 2, when it doesn’t miss any spot and cleans more thoroughly.

Mopping and tank volume

Of course, the Viomi SE Upgraded Edition robot vacuum also includes mopping. That’s where the Y-type cleaning is especially effective—just like we saw with the Viomi S9 robot vacuum.

The dustbin has a volume of 0.3 L, and the water tank holds 200 ml. This amount of water is enough for roughly 200 m² of mopping.

Maps, planning, and other features

Viomi SE Upgraded Edition can remember up to 5 maps, making it a great companion even for a multi-storey family house.

You can also schedule home cleaning in the Xiaomi Home app. Up to 7 schedules are supported, and you can save them. So you can set up, for example, daily automatic vacuuming at a certain time, thorough vacuuming e.g. 2-times per week, and mopping every other day. There are many options—just set them up according to your needs.

Voice control support is also included with Alexa or the Google Assistant. There are up to 11 world languages available.

Also included is support for creating so-called virtual walls or restricted zones when mopping.

Sensors, battery, and charging

Viomi SE Upgraded Edition features up to 12 sensors, including: a dustbin full sensor, wheel speed sensor, anti-collision sensor, a sensor to prevent falling down stairs, and others.

The battery has a capacity of 3200 mAh and should be enough to clean spaces with an area of 200 m². If the vacuum runs out of power during operation, it will automatically return to the charging station and, once recharged, continue cleaning from where it left off.
