Xiaomi 12 will offer slow-motion video with record frame rate up to 1920 fps

The current flagship model, Xiaomi 12, has been getting attention again in recent days. After a possible shape of the rear camera module in the letter “M” was revealed, we’re learning more about its photography equipment. The extra slowed-down video is especially impressive.

The first leaks suggested that in this flagship we’d get a new 200-megapixel camera; in the end, this claim turned out to be misleading.

According to the latest information from China, Xiaomi 12 will have a main camera with a resolution of 50 MPx, just like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra model. The biggest improvements will be in the slow-motion video.

Up to 1920 fps

Sources from mainland China claim that the latest Xiaomi 12 model will be able to record slowed-down slow-motion video at an excellent 1 920 frames per second. This will truly be ultra-slow video created with a really high-quality lens, so we have plenty to look forward to. This information has not yet been officially confirmed.

The same slow-motion video parameters are also offered by another competitor from China, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro model. With this step, Xiaomi will match it. We know that Huawei’s brand sales have been declining since the moment they have had a ban on using Google Services in their devices. Their hope for this brand could be their new operating system, HarmonyOS.

Besides the leaked design of the back wall, we also have information that it will get a 2K display with a 120-hertz refresh rate, which will include LTPO technology—meaning it will intelligently change the display refresh rate depending on the content being shown. Samsung will manufacture this panel for Xiaomi.

The new Xiaomi 12 flagship should also come with a new processor from Qualcomm, specifically the Snapdragon 898. The new processor, which hasn’t even been officially unveiled yet, will debut precisely in this model. As soon as more information about Xiaomi 12 appears, we’ll inform you immediately.
