Xiaomi 14 Ultra is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year from this manufacturer. Now we’ve learned more details about the upcoming flagship model. Keep reading and find out the expected raw performance, price, and also the estimated launch timeframe.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra will deliver full-fledged performance
The device’s raw performance reports come from an older benchmarking app, Geekbench 4. So don’t be fooled at first glance by the astronomical results that would be practically impossible to achieve today on the current Geekbench 6. In the single-core test, 9317 points were recorded, and in the multi-core test then 26523 points. It was a memory configuration with 16 GB RAM.
The model designation is 24030PN60G, where the last letter “G” indicates the global version of the smartphone. The phone’s motherboard has the codename “aurora”, and the chipset implemented on it features eight CPU cores with a maximum clock of 3.3 GHz. Performance is therefore handled by one of the most powerful mobile-phone chips of the current era, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chipset includes a powerful graphics accelerator Adreno 750. The preinstalled operating system is the latest Android 14.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra has already passed several certifications, and data from them only confirms the leaked information available so far. The latest reports suggest that Xiaomi 14 Ultra could offer up to 80 W wireless charging. If that turns out to be true, the new model will have a guaranteed first place in the wireless charging segment on the market.
The smartphone should also come with a 1440p display with curvature on all four sides, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, satellite communication support, and a quad-camera setup with resolutions of 50 MP. The battery capacity is expected to be 5180 mAh. It’s possible that the launch will happen at the end of February—maybe during the MWC 2024 trade show in Barcelona.
The price of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra should increase by 700 Yuan, which can be converted to about 90 euros. The predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, was sold on the global market after its launch for the official price of 1499 euros. So the new price could easily be a bit higher—we’d expect a figure of 1599 euros. Over time, though, there will certainly be some discounted offers available, just like it was with last year’s generation.
