The new premium flagship smartphone Xiaomi 14 Ultra was officially unveiled on the Chinese market. Here are its technical specifications, along with the retail price. The global launch will take place on February 25 at the MWC trade show in Barcelona.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra: 6,73″ 120 Hz LTPO panel and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone features slightly rounded edges, including an aluminum frame made in a contrasting color (e.g., a white phone with a silver frame). The smartphone’s dimensions are capped at 161.4 x 75.3 x 9.2 mm. The weight of this device is a hefty 224.4 grams.
Xiaomi also worked on increased water- and dust-resistance, and the 14 Ultra proudly carries a IP68 certification. The front side houses a large 6,73″ LTPO OLED panel with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, along with dynamic refresh starting from 1 Hz.
The resolution of this panel is 3200 x 1440 pixels (2K, sharpness 522 ppi). It also has PWM and DC dimming at a frequency of 1920 Hz, maximum brightness up to 3000 nits, as well as Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and HDR10+.
Power comes from the latest flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, built on a 4 nm manufacturing process. It’s paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.
The latest 1″ Sony LYT-900 sensor and ultra-fast charging
Let’s move on to the cameras. The main one is a large, up to 1” Sony LYT-900 lens with a resolution of 50 MPx, PDAF autofocus, and optical image stabilization.
Besides the high resolution, it also brings a variable aperture across a wide range from f/1.63 to f/4.0. It supports high-resolution video recording (4K / 120 fps).
The main sensor is also complemented by a pair of additional telephoto lenses. Specifically, these are Sony IMX858 sensors: the first has a 75 mm focal length, f/1.8 aperture, and a 3.2x optical zoom, while the second is 120 mm with an f/2.5 aperture and a 5x optical magnification.
The fourth camera in line is a 12 mm ultra-wide-resolution sensor with 50 MPx and a field of view up to 122°. The smartphone also includes Leica Summilux technology, developed again in collaboration with the German brand Leica.
The manufacturer also highlighted support for the Ultra Zoom and Ultra Snap features, as well as shooting in the Ultra RAW format. The camera can record 4K video at an impressive 120 fps, or 8K video at 30 fps.
Software improvements are also included. The operating system is Android, enhanced with the HyperOS graphical skin. In addition, the manufacturer prepared Leica camera enhancements and software designed to eliminate accidental touches on the curved display.
The integrated battery has a capacity of 5300 mAh, along with support for ultra-fast 90 W charging running through the modern USB C 3.2 Gen 2 connector with 10 Gbps throughput. It’s also complemented by fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging for your accessories.
When it comes to further connectivity, we should mention WiFi 7 standard, Bluetooth 5.4 with Dual-Bluetooth technology support, NFC, dual GPS, and even two-way satellite communication.
For the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the manufacturer will also sell a special photography kit that will provide not only physical triggers for more comfortable shooting, but also the ability to attach a filter to the lens and even expand the battery to a solid 6800 mAh. Through the kit itself, you can still charge the phone at full speed of up to 90W.
