Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Here are the latest leaks from Weibo
The latest info about the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 15 Ultra was shared by the verified tipster Digital Chat Station. They posted on the Chinese social network Weibo. And they revealed that one of the standout features will be a macro camera with focus from about 10 centimeters.
This capability will allow users to easily and quickly capture various details, for example while hiking. On top of that, it’s also said that the camera module will feature a design with a red circular element and will come with a new telephoto lens coating. Even though we don’t know the details of this coating, smaller lens flares and clearer shots are generally expected.
200 MPx periscope telephoto lens and 90 W charging
Following in the footsteps of the predecessor, upgraded original accessories are also expected to arrive. It should be a new photography kit aimed at improving the overall user experience. However, because of this kit, the traditional “leather” version won’t be included in the lineup. This material should be moved to the accessory portfolio—meaning cases and covers for the flagship smartphones of the fifteenth series.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra model has also already received 3C certification (specifically, it happened on December 4, 2024), confirming support for ultra-fast 90 W wired charging via USB-C.
For Chinese users, there’s also support for satellite calls Tiantong and text messages via Beidou satellite communication. Thanks to that, the device will be usable not only in cities, but also in remote areas.
Increases in battery capacity should be a reality. Even though we don’t know the exact capacity, we do know that the Chinese Xiaomi 15 Pro model offers a 6100 mAh battery. The 15 Ultra model is expected to go even further and offer fast wireless charging with a 50 W output.
There are also various information leaks about the cameras. A powerful camera module should offer up to a 200 MPx periscope telephoto lens, as well as another 50 MPx telephoto lens. The main sensor on the 15 Ultra should deliver 1″ and, as a market leader, it will come with an aperture of f/1.63″.
The official unveiling of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra should take place as early as February 2025. Xiaomi Group spokesperson Wei Siqi has also unveiled and confirmed it. However, we still don’t know the selling price or any potential availability in Europe.
