And it looks like the difference between the base and the premium model will be noticeably bigger than ever before.
Hardware that won’t go unnoticed
Both phones are built around a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1280 px. The new protective glass Gorilla Glass 7i promises greater durability, and brightness up to 3,200 nits means you’ll have everything perfectly readable even in harsh sunlight.
Support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 100% DCI-P3 coverage makes it clear that Xiaomi is taking multimedia seriously. The difference is in smoothness—while 15T handles 120 Hz, the Pro version goes up to 144 Hz.

At the heart of the base model is the chipset MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra, while the Pro version gets more power with the Dimensity 9400+. In both cases, you’ll find 12 GB of RAM and storage capacity of 256 GB or 512 GB. So if raw performance matters to you, Pro is the obvious choice—but even the standard fifteen won’t disappoint.
Cameras under Leica’s guidance
The biggest difference comes down to the cameras. The Xiaomi 15T Pro boasts a 50 MP main sensor Light Fusion 900 with optical stabilization (OIS); on top of that it adds a 50 MP telephoto lens with 5× optical zoom and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
The base model has to make do with a slightly weaker, 50 MP sensor Light Fusion 800, a 2× optical zoom without stabilization, and the same, 12 MP ultra-wide camera.

The front camera remains identical at – 32 MP with a very wide 120-degree field of view. Of course, there’s also color-tuned photo processing from Leica, which we’re already used to seeing with Xiaomi—delivering authentic or more vibrant colors and consistently top-tier quality.
Battery and other details
Both smartphones come with a 5,500 mAh battery, which should translate into solid battery life. The difference is charging speed: 15T supports 67 W, while 15T Pro steps up to 90 W. You won’t find a charger in the box, though.

Xiaomi didn’t forget about durability either—certification IP68 will protect the devices from dust and water. There’s also a difference in weight and build: the base model uses a plastic frame and weighs 194 g, while the Pro has a metal body and weighs 210 g.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 15T should be sold for 649 EUR, while the Pro version will cost 799 EUR. Given the specs, it looks like a fair price tag, but whether it’s worth paying extra for better materials, performance, and cameras will be up to you.
