A cheap gadget that saves water
Xiaomi ZAJIA automatic water dispenser is basically an upgrade for your faucet. The device simply attaches to the end of the faucet using six different nozzles included in the package. Each of the nozzles is intended for a different faucet type.
After installation, it’s important to open the water tap. The infrared motion sensor then takes care of hands-free water activation. Thanks to a very low response time of only 0.25 seconds, the start is instant.
Two sensors and battery life of 6 months
There are even two sensors – one on the side, the other at the bottom. The bottom sensor detects motion up to 10 cm away.
Just place a cup, another container, or your hand underneath, and the sensor automatically starts the water flow. After removing the item, the water flow automatically stops.
Xiaomi’s automatic water dispenser also includes a “filling” mode. The mode is activated when you place a pot or bottle under the sensor at a maximum distance of 5 cm.
Then the water will flow for 3 minutes. You stop the water flow with a simple hand motion around the side sensor.
The water dispenser is powered by its own battery, whose runtime the manufacturer states as 6 months. The subsequent recharging is done via a microUSB connector and takes about 3 hours.
