You can currently find the Xiaomi Router BE7000 with an international seller on the AliExpress marketplace. We also consider it a huge advantage that it includes customs-duty-free delivery, so you won’t pay any customs fees. You can expect it within 10-15 business days from dispatch.

💡Version info: Before you buy, you should know that the router is available only in the Chinese version, which means the administration interface is in Chinese. However, the mobile app is in English, and through the app you can configure the router completely. The router connects via the Xiaomi Home app, Mainland China region (Mainland China). The router has a Chinese firmware and also uses channels not listed in the Slovak Wi-Fi allowance. What that means and how to set it up, you’ll find lower in the article.

A perfect review from a member of our FB group

Our fan and also a member of our Xiaomi Planet group on Facebook wrote an excellent review of this router for us. You can find the review at this link in our group, where we warmly invite you. We have lots of these real reviews of products from our website from our fans there, and new ones keep coming in all the time. Be part of our community!

After testing several new routers, I was honestly surprised by this model—*wow*. I needed to replace my old router, which just couldn’t keep up anymore, but I couldn’t find any in Slovakia that met my requirements. Most of them had issues with Wi-Fi networks dropping, which I was already tired of.
When this Xiaomi router arrived, I was impressed from the very first moment. Setup? Totally effortless. You connect, set the IP, DNS… and you’re good to go. In the app, once you select the correct country, it automatically shows up as a new device. Just tap and fine-tune everything you need. And then? Then you can simply enjoy the brutal speed—via cable and over Wi‑Fi.

Compared to typical routers in Slovakia, the speed is noticeably higher. Signal interference from other devices in an apartment building? Absolutely no problem. The signal is strong and stable in every room.

My recommendation? If you’re looking for a simple router without unnecessary complications, but with great performance, I can only recommend this model. I’m extremely satisfied.

Other members from our group also added to it—they own the router too and wrote comments like these:

The newest addition is reader Stanislav, who has been using the router for several months now. He shared his experience with us in a comment in our Facebook group:

I can only recommend it—I’ve had it for a few months now and everything works perfectly. The signal across the whole apartment block is great, even though it’s sitting on a shelf.

Plus for me is also the option to receive a signal from a mobile hotspot in case the fiber connection drops at home by chance, or when I’m going somewhere off-site for an event and want to set up Wi‑Fi for a larger area that your phone alone can’t handle.

Recenzia routera Xiaomi BE7000 od čitateľa Stanislava

That second insight is worth knowing: the router can take the internet from a phone hotspot and distribute it through its own Wi-Fi network. It can act as a backup during fiber outages as well as for events where you need to cover a larger area than your mobile phone can handle on its own.

Xiaomi BE7000 is a top-tier Wi-Fi 7 router

A Wi-Fi 7 router standard delivers the Qualcomm Networking Pro 820, platform, so you can expect high performance and several other smart features.

Inside the BE7000 model, you’ll find a quad-core processor with a clock of 1,5 GHz and Cortex-A73 cores. The processor’s computing performance is rated at 28 800 DMIPS. Thanks to that, it’s able to provide a faster and more reliable connection compared to Wi-Fi 6 devices.

Connects 600 devices, supports NAS

This router is designed to handle heavy traffic. That makes it ideal for streaming high-quality content, online gaming, as well as graphically demanding online activities.

A solid 1 GB of RAM ensures stable a connection for up to 600 devices. Whether it’s smart TVs, smartphones, laptops, smart washing machines, or other appliances, the Xiaomi Router BE7000 always gives you maximum speed.

The router’s connectivity includes 4 x 2.5 GE WAN / LAN ports, as well as 1 x USB 3.0 port supporting NAS devices with a maximum transfer speed of 260 MB/s. That means you can connect multiple devices to this router at the same time without running into lag or buffering issues.

Mesh support, NFC, or an exclusive gaming accelerator

There’s no shortage of Mesh networking technology support, developed directly by Xiaomi. Thanks to that, you can link multiple routers from this brand to get much wider signal coverage.

For a very fast connection to your mobile phone, NFC is also available – just bring your smartphone close to the router and it will automatically connect to the WiFi network without having to enter a password.

In addition, the router offers so-called exclusive acceleration for Xiaomi or Redmi smartphones – it can intelligently identify your smartphone and open an exclusive acceleration channel. This accelerator is also available for PS, Xbox, Switch, PC, mobile phones, and other devices, reducing lag and in-game freezing.

What actual Wi-Fi speed does a Wi-Fi router really offer?

The number 7000 in the name is the sum of the theoretical speeds of both bands. According to official specs, in the 2.4 GHz band the router reaches up to 1,147 Mb/s, and in the 5 GHz band up to 5,765 Mb/s for a total of 6,913 Mb/s. Both bands use four antennas for receive and transmit (4×4). On the 5 GHz band, the router uses a 160 MHz channel width and 4K-QAM modulation.

But one device won’t get all of that. A phone or laptop usually has two antennas, so with Wi-Fi 7 it connects at up to 2,882 Mb/s, and with Wi-Fi 6 at up to 2,402 Mb/s. Real throughput is typically lower because Wi-Fi has to share bandwidth between downloading, uploading, and other devices on the network. The TP-Link Archer AX53 that readers mention in the discussion tops out at up to 2,402 Mb/s on 5 GHz. Xiaomi, on the 5 GHz band, offers more than double that.

Xiaomi’s highest figure applies to the MLO feature, when your phone connects to two channels at once in the 5 GHz band. With a Xiaomi 13 Pro phone, it lists a theoretical peak of 4,3 Gb/s. However, MLO works only in a tri-band mode that you need to enable manually. It uses channels 149 through 165, which we discuss below.

In China, the router was sold for a while under the name Xiaomi Router 7000. According to Xiaomi, the two versions differ only in terms of appearance and packaging. Owners of model 7000 received support for Wi-Fi 7 updates via the Xiaomi Home app.

Why doesn’t the 6 GHz band exist?

This is what readers ask about most often in the discussion. A standard Wi-Fi 7 band 6 GHz doesn’t require it. A Wi-Fi 7 router can handle bands 2,4 and 5 GHz just fine. However, it lacks features that fully work only up to 6 GHz, for example channels with a width of 320 MHz. BE7000 has the widest channel at 160 MHz.

The reason is in China. In 2023, the local MIIT ministry reserved the 6 GHz band for 5G and 6G mobile networks and did not open it for Wi-Fi. That’s why a router for the Chinese market has no transmitter for 6 GHz at all, and a firmware update won’t change that. In Slovakia, the segment allowed for Wi-Fi is 5 945 to 6 425 MHz, so European routers with the 6 GHz band work here.

Chinese frequencies and Slovak rules

The router has Chinese firmware and channels according to Chinese regulations. In the 2,4 GHz range, these are channels 1 to 13, just like in our region. In the 5 GHz band, it offers channels 36 to 64 and 149 to 165.

Channels 36 to 64 are allowed in both China and Slovakia, and the power limit is the same in both countries: 200 mW. On channels 149 to 165 (5.8 GHz band), it’s different. China allows up to 2 W on them, but the Slovak general authorization VPR-01/2022 does not mention them for Wi-Fi at all. In tri-band mode, the router turns them into a separate 5.8 GHz band. In dual-band mode, they are listed among the other 5 GHz channels.

In the 5,6 GHz bands where meteorological radar SHMU transmit, the router doesn’t have channels. If you want to be on the safe side, leave it in the default dual-band mode and manually set one of the channels 5 to 36 for the 48 GHz band. These channels don’t need radar checks in Europe either (DFS). You’ll lose MLO, but regular devices will connect the same way.

In the past, we attributed the stronger signal of the Chinese version to milder rules. At 2.4 GHz, that’s not the case: China and Slovakia both have a 100 mW power limit. As we verified whether you’re at risk of a fine for a Chinese router, we discuss it in the article about a Chinese router with a stronger signal through the wall. Xiaomi’s BE7000 strong signal at 2.4 GHz is down to the hardware. Compared to the AX6000 model, this router has two more power amplifiers in this band.
