2. July 2019 3 min read 0 comments

Today is the day when Xiaomi, together with Meitu, will officially unveil two smartphones from a completely new series — Xiaomi CC. We can expect the Xiaomi CC9 models, as well as the Xiaomi CC9e, which will be the smaller one of the pair.

This model has already been officially confirmed and also appeared in official photos. Just a few hours before the presentation, though, we also know more official information.

When is the presentation happening?

Xiaomi and Meitu will officially unveil their first joint smartphones today, 2.7.2019 at 13:30 local time. The presentation will be streamed online, unfortunately only in Chinese. If you still want to watch it, the stream will be available via this link.

But make sure to follow our site — we’ll keep you updated and let you know about the presentation among the first in your local language.

Xiaomi CC9e officially confirmed

Up until now, we weren’t sure whether the Xiaomi CC9e model really existed. However, it has already been confirmed — directly by Xiaomi, which posted several official photos on its Weibo profile.

In the photos, he’s “posing” together with the CC9 model, and right away we can spot the size difference. The CC9e model will be smaller of the two, and therefore a bit more compact. The exact display dimensions are not known yet—we’ll find out in a few hours.

An in-display fingerprint sensor and a big battery

Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e smartphones will be equipped with in-display fingerprint sensors. Xiaomi will use the 7th generation of the optical sensor, just like in the case of Redmi K20/K20 Pro.

Since this whole smartphone series is aimed at young people who spend a lot of their free time on smartphones, Xiaomi also made sure to deliver sufficient battery life. In both models, that will be handled by a solid 4030 mAh battery.

The smartphones will be focused mainly on photography. The use of the front 32 MPx selfie camera is proof of that — it will be packed with artificial intelligence to enhance photo quality. The triple rear camera, on the other hand, will offer a primary 48 MPx sensor, most likely the same one used in the flagship Mi 9.

Finally, there’s also some info about the design. We already know the back will come with an interesting “wavy” effect that changes direction when light hits it at an angle. The back of both smartphones is covered with glass with 3D rounded edges, which the manufacturer says will deliver the best ergonomics and comfortable use.

We’ll also send info about the Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e presentation by email. Immediately after the article is published. ?
