If you spend a lot of time at your computer—whether you work, game, or just watch series in the evening—you know that sound makes a huge difference. Xiaomi clearly gets that too, because after China it’s now shipping the world Desktop Speaker Pro Set—a combo of a compact soundbar and a wireless subwoofer made specifically for your desk. And it doesn’t look bad at all—either design-wise or technically.

Desktop sound that definitely won’t be understated
Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro Set isn’t another cheap pair of plastic speakers. The soundbar is designed to be a natural part of your work desk. A metal grille, clean lines, and RGB backlighting make it clear that Xiaomi is aiming at people who care about the look of their setup. And yes, the RGB can be set so it doesn’t distract—or it can match your gaming rig.
An interesting detail is the 53-degree upward tilt of the speakers. Xiaomi is targeting a natural ear position when you’re seated at the desk, and trying to create a wider, more “airy” soundstage. This isn’t empty marketing—on desktop speakers, sound direction is often underestimated.
Four drivers, a wireless subwoofer, and solid bass
The main soundbar houses a pair of 10 W racetrack drivers, complemented by passive radiators to deliver balanced sound with plenty of detail. The real difference, though, is the wireless subwoofer with a 96 mm long-throw driver that communicates with the soundbar via 2.4 GHz connection with low latency.
The result should be bass that isn’t just boomy, but also fast and precise. Xiaomi mentions bass reaching as low as 60 Hz, which is more than decent for a desktop system. The subwoofer automatically adapts to the selected sound mode, so it behaves differently for music, games, or movies.
Unlike many cheap solutions, you get five clearly defined sound modes—music, bass, vocals, games, and movies. It’s not just switching names; it’s the work of a DSP processor that adjusts the sound character depending on the use case. In games you get better positional imaging, in movies wider stereo, and for vocals a cleaner presentation of voices—useful for calls and podcasts too.
The controls are handled in a really convenient way. The side rotary knob combined with two buttons lets you adjust volume, switch modes, and control RGB. Everything is within reach, with no need to hunt through menus.
You can connect practically everything
Xiaomi thankfully didn’t limit itself to just Bluetooth. Besides Bluetooth 5.3, you’ve got USB connection to your computer, a standard AUX input, and even a 3.5 mm input for an external microphone. There’s also a built-in microphone in the soundbar with echo cancellation, so you can handle basic calls or meetings even without a headset.
For those who like gaming with settings, there’s the Xiaomi C-HUB software—through it you can fine-tune the sound and lighting effects directly from your computer. That’s the kind of extra detail that will make anyone happy who likes full control over every element of their setup.
Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro Set: when and for how much?
Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro Set has already appeared on the global pages of Xiaomi, and supporting pages confirm its arrival in countries like Germany, the UK, and Australia. The exact date and price are not known yet, but if we know Xiaomi, the price tag should be highly competitive considering the specs.
