Xiaomi is bringing new products to its smart home lineup. These include new switches, a socket, and a small “night” light.
They communicate with each other via a base, so there’s also a new “Gateway” — which, like the other products, supports the ZigBee 3.0 standard as well.
New “Gateway” with ZigBee 3.0
The new Xiaomi Mijia Smart Gateway comes with support for the new ZigBee 3.0 standard, which not only improves connectivity, but also speeds up the operations performed between individual devices.
You’ll also get connectivity via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, plus a dual Wi-Fi antenna. Thanks to the new antenna, the range to devices increases up to 200 meters.
It’s also equipped with Bluetooth Mesh Networking (network-based connection), pairing via the Mi Home app, and support for the intelligent assistant XiaoAI.
It enables creating smart scenes and supports devices connected via Apple HomeKit service.
The new Xiaomi Mijia smart gateway is already available for pre-order at Banggood, which currently offers a discount through a flash sale. However, at the reduced price there are only a limited number of units available, so you shouldn’t wait too long.
